ABOUT ME

My Story

Like the majority of us in the UK I grew up with dogs and as far back as I can remember I've always wanted to work with, and help animals.

I pursued my passion the second I could. After finishing school I went on to complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, and from there I achieved my degree in 2018, BSc (Hons) Animal Conservation Science. I also hold a foundation degree in Animal Husbandry and Welfare! Right there I dedicated five years to educating myself in all things animal related, especially their behaviour and psychology. It was during this intense educational period of my life that I learned all about the most modern, ethical, fun, and kind methodology of training, force free positive reinforcement training.

Following my university days I moved away from sunny (or not-so-sunny) Cornwall, to sunny Thailand. I had landed myself a stunning job working with rescued elephants in the forest covered mountains of Northern Thailand. It is here where my goal shifted to dogs, after I spent a great deal of time with the dogs of the villages.

Fast forward to 2020 COVID times and I found myself back in the UK. While scrolling job sites I found the job that would solidify my career path, Adoptions Coordinator at a charity that was centred around rescuing and rehabilitating street dogs from Romania, Love Underdogs. Nine hours a day for over three years with the most incredible, diverse, and very often difficult dogs excelled my experience and knowledge more than I could ever know. Before I knew it I had re-homed over 100 dogs, become the charity's head trainer/behaviourist for both the dogs in the rescue and in homes, and the overall manager. I furthered my dog-centred education by becoming accredited by the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).

And now I'm here, ready to help you who is reading this. I combine a solid background in education with extensive hands-on experience to back it up. I can't wait to see where your journey with your dog takes you, and to be able to be with you every step of the way.
